Apple Rumors 2025: iPad Pro and MacBook Pro Coming With M5 (2025)

Yes, yes, the iPhone 17 Slim and Thick are releasing in 2025, but what else do the Apple rumors offer about future releases?

There’s no time to rest when the Apple rumors for 2025 are ramping up in strange and exciting ways. Despite some decent launches like the iPhone 16e and the MacBook Air M4 this year, Apple has been having a topsy-turvy year that has left its stocks tumbling and its public image being more rough-handed than ever before.

Despite the setbacks, the company has not given up on its plans to wow its consumers in the coming months, but from the timeline we see, maybe the wooing will stretch out to upcoming years. The many Apple rumors suggest we may be set for a new MacBook Pro M5 launch later in the year, and there’s also talk of an all-glass Apple Watch that sounds interesting and impractical all at once.

Have you heard word of an Apple AI health coach to improve the company’s Health app? That is said to be in the works as well. If you’re an Apple enthusiast who wants to know everything the company is up to right now, here’s a quick recap of what we’ve heard about Apple news from around the town.

Apple Rumors 2025: iPad Pro and MacBook Pro Coming With M5 (1)

The Apple rumors for 2025 suggest the more interesting products could be scheduled for next year, however, the MacBook Pro M5 is coming soon.

Apple Rumors 2025: Macbooks, Monitors, and Major AI Advances Teased

The Apple rumors we have right now come from a variety of sources that don’t have any confirmed evidence of these projects. Some of these sources, like Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman with his insight into the M5 chip on the MacBook Pro and iPad Pro, are extremely reliable, while other bits of leaks and reveals come from sources that might be a little harder to verify.

Regardless, many of these Apple Watch camera rumors and other details might just turn out to be true, so if you want to stay prepared for what’s to come, here’s everything we know.

Top Apple News: iPad Pro M5 and MacBook Pro M5 Launch in 2025

Apple has already revamped and relaunched the MacBook Air M4 and the iPad Air M3, and the major difference from their predecessors has been the upgraded chips from the previous generation. Right now, Apple’s latest family of chips includes the A18 chip for the company’s iPhones and the M4 family—M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max—for its other devices.

Expert insider Mark Gurman suggests the new M5 chip will be released later this year, with the iPad Pro having completed its testing stages, setting it on track for production in the second half of 2025. The MacBook Pro M5 is also expected to launch around the same time.

Despite this advancement, they are unlikely to feature the in-house developed C1 cellular modem this time. While the iPhone 16e managed to showcase this advancement, we are unlikely to see it arrive on these two devices until 2027, and at that point, the C2 modem should be ready to use. Are you looking forward to the new iPad Pro in 2025, or will you hold out for its successor with the M6 chip or later to impress you?

An All-glass Apple Watch? What Does That Even Mean?

Apart from the almost confirmed MacBook Pro M5, another major Apple rumor we’ve seen making the rounds in 2025 is the talk of an all-glass Apple Watch. A concept once pursued by former Apple design chief Jony Ive for the iPhone, it appears that the company may be considering importing the idea to the watch instead.

According to Weibo account Instant Digital, which looked at existing Apple patents, there could be a new watch concept that will see the entire body of the watch utilize a glass-based structure instead of the frame we see today. This would rely on touch interactions, but the challenge of designing specific zones for these interactions on the small could be too great a barrier.

This all-glass Apple Watch would also pose the obvious challenge of being more fragile and harder to maintain compared to existing watches, but it’s a fascinating concept nonetheless. There is no release date or even evidence of the company having grown close to a finished concept yet.

Apple Watch Camera Rumors: Another Concept Product

This Apple rumor comes from Gurman again, who suggested that the company may be considering adding a camera to their watch. We’d seen a similar discussion earlier about AirPods with cameras, and analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also indicated this was a real possibility, so we could be in line for a few different capture options in the years to come.

These cameras, combined with AI capabilities, would allow users to scan the environment and gain insights, making them a more awkward and unusual alternative to some of the smart glasses we’ve seen released. Neither of these products is expected to be released this year. These are likely just concepts for future products that have to spend more time in their developmental phase before they can materialize.

iOS 19 Design Changes Rumored but Still Unclear

Apple is rumored to be working on the design details of iOS 19, and while we don’t have any major updates on this front, we’re told the project is codenamed “Solarium.” It also appears that the update will bring a “glass-like” appearance to the iPhone interface, playing with translucent menus and notifications.

The YouTube channel Front Page Tech also shared what they claim is an exclusive first look at the redesign, but we’ve yet to see any of these details confirmed. Could more rounded icons also be in the mix? Loyal Apple fans do not want to see the company go down that lane, but others would like to see the change. We wouldn’t call this a major upgrade if Apple did commit to it.

Apple Rumors 2025: iPad Pro and MacBook Pro Coming With M5 (2)

An Apple AI Health Coach Is Expected to Enhance the User Experience

The Cupertino company has recently faced some setbacks with its AI advancements, which has put it even further back than we’d previously thought. Some of the advanced Siri AI capabilities that were expected to be released this year have been pushed to 2026, which is a big part of why the company’s stocks fell significantly this year.

The Apple Siri AI delays may be unfortunate, but the company is not backing down from championing Apple Intelligence and its future capabilities. This leaked Apple news has everyone excited about its AI potential again. The company is reportedly developing a new version of its Health app, which should feature an AI coach that can guide users towards a healthier lifestyle. Apple’s AI health coach will likely compile all of the users’ health data, and trained professionals will be brought in to develop associated content for it.

This bit of Apple Health+ news does not have a timeline either, as it will not be out before spring or summer 2026. Siri may well guide the AI health coach into Apple’s ranks when she finally makes her debut post-makeover.

An Apple High-End Monitor, Would That Interest You?

Apple already has a $4999 Mac Pro Display XDR display that it debuted and abandoned in 2019 and a Studio Display that it introduced in 2022. We now have reports, courtesy of Gurman, that Apple is working on the next generation of the Studio Display, which could take the Pro Display XDR one step further with a better replacement for it.

Analyst Ross Young hypothesized that this might utilize quantum-dot films similar to the MacBook Pro and release towards the end of 2025 or in 2026. This does not seem like a high-priority release for Apple, and a 27-inch Studio Display Pro might be more fiscally relevant for the company, so it’s one rumor we aren’t paying too much attention to right now.

When Is WWDC 2025? More Apple News to Come Soon

Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference 2025 will likely hold the key to all of these leaks and rumors and confirm at least some of them for us. The event is scheduled between June 9 and June 13, 2025, so you should make sure you tune in to the event to see what Apple has to offer this year. The company’s rumored Smart Home Hub could also be announced at the event.

Updates on Apple’s thinnest and thickest iPhones could be revealed at the showcase, so if that is the only product you really care about, you should still track WWDC 2025 for the latest news on Apple. Apple WatchOS 12 will be coming sometime this year, possibly in September, but a quick update may show you what’s to come. The Apple Watch Ultra 3 and SE 3 have also been rumored, so you can get your hands on a new smartwatch to go with that OS release.

There are no Apple Vision Pro releases rumored for now, so it’s safe to assume that the product has temporarily taken a backseat until the company can improve on the product or bring a cheaper variant out that might sell better than the original.

Apple’s New iPad Pro M5 and MacBook Pro 5 Are the Main Releases for Now

The Apple rumors for 2025 give the impression that some of the biggest changes or redesigns are coming in the next two years. Will the company be able to rely on the product releases this year to keep users interested until then? That is the question.

Apple’s M4-Powered Mac Mini has been one of its more superior releases, and the upcoming MacBook Pro M5 launch is also expected to go well for the company. The iPhone 17 lineup is looking at some external redesigns and offerings that could be game-changing if the software holds up—especially if it does something other than offer AI—but we only have speculations to guide us for now.

The brand has fallen behind in the foldable smartphone and smart rings categories where other competitors have pulled ahead, but its smartphones will have a loyal fanbase like no other. If Apple manages to keep them reeled in, its future launches in other categories could go much more smoothly.

The Apple rumors and future releases are certainly interesting, but we’d love to know which Apple news update has you most excited. Drop a comment and let us know. Subscribe to Technowize so you can stay updated on the latest happenings in the world of technology.
